Oxnard, CA)— Keystone Business Advisors recently announced that Oxnard-based Survivor Industries, a manufacturer of emergency food and water supplies as well as other emergency items for over 35 years has been acquired by SOS Food Labs, Inc. SOS is a strategic buyer headquartered in Florida, who now has a share of the West Coast market with the acquisition. Survivor Industries engaged Mark Richard of Keystone Business Advisors to represent them in the transaction.
“The process of selling our business was not something that I ever focused on or really knew anything about. It takes all my energy just to manage the everyday operations!” said Linda Wallace, president of Survivor Industries. “Mark led me through the transaction process step by step, and he was able to refer me to a top-notch team of professional advisors, who all worked together to get the deal done, despite some obstacles that I never thought we would have to face. As the coordinator of the entire team effort, Mark was truly a great resource for me.”
“All deals have challenges, but this one had more than its share! We were working with a buyer from across the country that was supported by a small private equity group, and they each had some unique demands for the transaction. Part of my role was to come up with creative solutions as well as manage expectations of both parties in bringing them together to complete the transaction,” said Mark Richard from Keystone.
