EMTS, Inc. is part of the Elite Team Offices company and is a strategic buyer headquartered in Clovis California. “The Buyer used this acquisition to expand their landscape services area to include the Santa Barbara county” said Greg Martin of Keystone Business Advisors.
After 30 years in the landscape business , the seller wanted a path to retire by selling their business. Selling was a difficult and emotional decision since they built the business from the ground up and considered their employees and clients like family. It was extremely important to the seller to find a buyer that would take care of their employees and clients after the sale. Through persistent marketing and talking to numerous buyers, Greenscapes owership selected EMTS, Inc., a larger company but with a family culture. The relationship needed time to mature; we had an individual seller working with multiple executives from a large company. The common thread for both the buyer and seller was their attention to treating their employees and customers like family. Both parties’ vision of the company post-sale was aligned leading to a successful close.
