We understand the process of buying and selling and the emotional stress that it can have on both the buyer and seller. We work closely with both parties to make the transition process as smooth and pleasant as possible.
We take the time to walk each prospective buyer through the total buying process which includes matching them with a business that fits the profile information that they provide to us. Our goal is to show a buyer only those listings that fit their interests and talents as well as their budget. Sellers can be assured that our goal is to show their business only to those who appear to be financially capable to make them an offer. Dave Richards is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and a licensed California Real Estate Broker with a comprehensive background in business sales, mergers & acquisitions and business valuation. Dave started his business brokerage career in the middle of 2003 selling businesses for one of the largest business brokerage firms in the world. At the end of 2004, he founded Keystone Business Advisors with the objective of continuing to assist small business owners in the sale of their business as well as specialize in mid-sized companies with market values between $1 million to $20 million. Dave and his team assist business owners who are ready to go to market with preparing an opinion of value, creating the confidential offering memorandum to market the business, identify, qualify and reach out to financial and/or strategic buyers, negotiate the business terms of the sale and assist the parties in due diligence through closing. Dave also provides advisory services such as expert witness consulting and works with business owners to better prepare their business for sale in the future. Prior to becoming a business intermediary, Dave had a successful 10-year career in operations and project management at leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer. Dave earned an MBA in Business Management from Pepperdine University and a BS in Real Estate and Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.

Mark Richard is a licensed California real estate sales agent with over 15 years experience in the consumer products industry. Before becoming a business broker, Mark built his career in strategic brand marketing and product development, having worked in both direct response and traditional retail channels. He has successfully launched dozens of health, beauty and fitness products and line extensions. Before his career in consumer products, Mark was a producer and general manager of Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals in New York, on tour and in Los Angeles. Conejo Valley parents may also recognize Mark from his work on the field and on the court as a football, baseball and basketball official in numerous youth and high school leagues in the area. He has an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and a BA from Brown University.

He has served as CFO, Controller and VP Finance of both Manufacturing and Professional Service Companies with expertise in the Aerospace, Consumer Products, Banking and Staffing Industries. Steve graduated from the University of Washington with a BA Concentration in Accounting and obtained his CPA certification in Washington State. He earned his MBA in Business Management from Pepperdine University and is licensed by the California Department of Real Estate.

Prior to joining Keystone Business Advisors, he worked as CEO and COO in a variety of companies in industries such as electronics, telecommunication and automotive. Lutz holds a Master degree in electrical engineering from a German university. With a proven success in a wide range of business areas, Lutz has a track record of designing scientifically proven growth and organizational change solutions that are strategic, sustainable and align with a company’s strategy and processes. For more than a decade, Lutz has successfully established European-based companies in the USA and worked with Private Equity and Venture Capital firms on international and domestic merger & acquisition projects. He holds a license by the California Department of Real Estate.

Holding several senior executive roles in sales, marketing and operations, it has given him an extensive knowledge base expanding across multiple industry’s that make up the complexion of a local market. Before joining Keystone, Greg has worked as a Chief Revenue Officer, General Manager and Sales Director for a variety of companies ranging from early stage, medium size to billion-dollar organizations. In his roles, he has successfully worked for investors and private equity groups that invest in companies. As a previous business owner, he has successfully operated and sold his own business. Greg’s passion and experience are around sales generation and still works with companies looking to strategize, build and manage their sales teams.

Anthony earned his MBA from Pepperdine University with an emphasis in finance and earned a membership into the Beta Gamma Sigma international business honor society.
